Importing or exporting catalog data

You can import or export existing catalogCommerce: a top-level container for catalog entries such as categories, products, and variants (SKUs). data to and from Episerver Commerce websites using the catalog Import/Export feature. The standard catalog importer imports .zip files exported from Commerce Manager. It is a quick way to import catalogs from other websites and start off with a base to expand your catalog.

Importing a catalog

1. Go to Commerce Manager.
2. Access the Catalog List page in the Catalog subsystem. The Import/Export menu is located in the upper left corner of the main window.
3. Select Import/Export > Import Catalog.

4. Drag and drop catalog file from the source location. The uploaded files appear in the list of available files for import.
5. Click Start Import. The progress window shows that status.
6. Close the progress window when the import process is complete.

Exporting a catalog

1. Go to Commerce Manager.
2. Access the Catalog List page in the Catalog subsystem. The Import/Export menu is located in the upper left corner of the main window.
3. Select the check box for the appropriate catalog nodes.
4. Select Import/Export > Export Catalog. The Exports Catalogs screen appears.

5. Export catalog items in the following ways.
   1. To export everything in the catalog node, click Start Export. The progress window shows the status of the export. Close the window with the export is complete.
   2. To export selected files, click Download next to each item.
