Google Tag Manager integration

Note:  This topic is for administrators and developers with administration access rights in Episerver Campaign.

When using Google Tag Manager to implement tracking codes and conversion pixels on your website, you can set up a data transfer to Episerver Campaign.

You can transfer data from customers who visited your website by clicking a link in your mailing. Benefit from Episerver's powerful post-click tracking service and precisely segment recipients according to actions they perform on your website.

Prerequisites

  • Implement Google Tag Manager on your website (see Enhanced Ecommerce (UA) Developer Guide)
  • Ask customer support to configure post-click tracking. When ordering, inform Episerver which data you want to transfer to Episerver Campaign and which variables you need (g-values (data type String) and f-values (data type Float)).

Configuration steps

  • Step 1: Create three user-defined variables for saving the RecipientID.
  • Step 2: Configure customer actions.
  • Step 3: Publish your changes.
