Select template

Select the source or template from which you want to create the message:

Email

If you edit an email for the first time, select a template:

  1. From the Template drop-down list, select one of these options.
    • New. Creates a message from a template (for example, the Episerver Template Kit) or enter your own HTML into the free-text template.
    • Message. Applies content from existing message you select from the list. You can select new or sent messages.
    • Message template. Send messages regularly with the same sender number (such as "Our offers of the week"). Select the required template from the list. The subject, sender information and attachments are already configured in the message templates. If you select this option, go to Configuring the message. See also Message templates.
  2. Click Next.

Fax

For general information, see Fax.

If you are editing a fax for the first time, select whether you want to create the fax yourself using a template or send an existing PDF file.

Template

  1. Click Template to create a fax.
  2. In the Template drop-down list, select one of these options.
    • New. Creates a message from a template. You can also enter your own text into the free-text template. Click New in the left column and select a template from the list.
    • Message. Applies content from an existing message. You can select new or sent messages.
    • Message template. Send messages regularly with the same sender number. Select the required template from the list. Sender number and content are already configured in the message templates. If you select this option, go to Configuring the message. See also Message templates.
  3. Click Next.

PDF

To select an existing PDF, click PDF, click the file to send as a fax, then click Apply.

To send a new or existing PDF file:

  1. Click PDF. A list of available PDF files is displayed.
  2. Click New.The Add attachment window opens.
  3. In the Source area, select one of the following.
    • Upload from hard drive. Upload a file from your hard drive.
    • Use URL. A URL for the file's internet location is put on the server (starting withhttp://orhttps://). Episerver Campaign downloads the file from the specified URL upon sending, which is sent together with the mailing. Be sure that you can locate the file at the same URL at a later date.
  4. In the File name box, enter a meaningful name. Avoid cryptic names (20041108_pricelist_complete_emea.pdf). Use simple, short names, such as pricelist.pdf. Include the file extension (.pdf or .doc) so the recipient can tell the file format.
  5. In the Description box, enter an internal description of the file. It is not part of the mailing when you send the file.
  6. Click Save. The file or link is saved in the database.
  7. In the list, click the file that was uploaded and click Apply.

SMS

To edit an SMS message, go to Configuring the message.

Mobile Push

Print

For general information, see Print.

To edit a Print message for the first time, you must first select a template:

  1. In the Template drop-down list, select one of the following options:
    • New. Creates a message from a template. You can also enter your own text into the free-text template. Click New in the left column and select a template from the list.
      • Letter DIN A4. Send a standard letter with one or more pages. Letters are folded into DIN lang format and placed in an envelope.
      • Postcard DIN A6. Send customer reply cards, advertising, and so on. The front side has fields for the sender, address, franking, and coding areas that cannot be used. Write the content on the entire reverse side (taking the minimum margins into account).
      • Postcard DIN lang. Send decorative cards, advertising, and so on. The front side has fields for the sender, address, franking and coding areas that cannot be used. Write the content on the entire reverse side (taking the minimum margins into account).
    • Message. Applies content from an existing message by selecting a message from the list. You can select new and sent messages.
    • Message template. Send messages regularly with the same dispatch option. Select the required template from the list; the format and dispatch options are already configured in the message templates. If you select this option, go to Configuring the message. See also Message templates.
  2. Click Next.
