Options for Saving

There are several ways to save a page in Edit mode depending on what you want to do next. You have the following options for saving:

Using Autosave

When you are working on a page in Edit mode, the autosave function ensures that the work is not going to disappear in case of a sudden crash of the system or browser. Autosave is enabled to save the page every minute by default, but your organization might have other configured settings. Autosave works as follows:

If an autosaved draft exists, the following message is shown on the page so you can recover the previous work. Clicking the page link will open the draft into the page and clicking the Delete button will remove the draft from being displayed.
If an autosaved draft does not exist, the page will open and the draft of any changes will be automatically saved according to the configured time interval.

Using Save

Use the Save button when you want to continue working with the page directly after saving. When you select Save, the information is stored and the page will still be open for editing.

Using Save and View

Use the Save and View button when you want to preview a page that you are working on. When you select Save and View, the information is stored and the Preview tab appears. From that view you can either choose to publish the page or continue working with your editing.

Using Save and Publish

Use the Save and Publish button when you want to publish a page that you are working on, without previewing it. When you select Save and Publish, the information is stored and the Preview tab is shown. The page is published and becomes available to visitors in View mode.
