Edit Using the Right Mouse Button

In View mode, you can use the On-Page Editing function to make quick changes directly on the page accessing all the editor functions and publish it. Use On-Page Edit if you, for example, want to add an image, or change the text on the page as described in "Working with the Information".

Access On-Page Edit as follows:

1. Right-click the page.
2. Select On-Page Edit. A box with a dotted line will appear around the text areas you can change.
3. Click the box containing the text you want to change to access the editor functions. Make your changes to the text.
4. Click Apply.
5. Click Save and Publish at the top, or select it on right-click.

In View mode, you can use the Quick-Editing function to access to the entire Edit tab functionality to make quick changes to the content and properties of the page and publish it. Use Quick-Edit if you, for example, want to schedule a date for publishing, or remove a page from being displayed in menus.

Access Quick-Edit as follows:

1. Right-click the page in View mode.
2. Select Quick-Edit.
3. The Edit tab appears and you can make the changes.
4. Click Save and Publish at the top.

Your changes will be published immediately once you save, and there is no preview possibility.

Create a page by using Quick-Edit as follows:

1. Right-click the page.
2. Select New Page.
3. A list of available page types appears. Select the page type and enter the information you want to appear in the various fields on the page.
4. Click Save and Publish.

If you want to access the right-click menu of the web browser, right-click and select Disable Menu. Next time you right-click, the web browser menu will appear again. Updating the page takes you back to the EPiServer CMS right-click menu. You can also use the CTRL + right-click shortcut key to gain quick access to the web browser’s right-click menu.
