Once you have finished working with a page, you can preview it before publishing it. If you are satisfied with the result, submit it for publication. If not, click the Edit tab in order to continue working on the page.
Depending on your access rights to publish pages, you will have different tool buttons available to select from when you want to publish. For example, if editors will not be able to publish pages, another person can be assigned an editor-in-chief role to approve pages before they are published. The editor-in-chief can review and approve the pages ready for publishing as a task, see "My Tasks Tab".
Even if you are authorized to publish information, you may want someone to review the page. You can use tasks or workflows to distribute the task of reviewing and publishing.
You have the following options for publishing:
If two users try to save and publish the same page simultaneously, the system will display a message. The message will be shown to the second user when trying to publish the page. A window appears displaying the two conflicting versions next to each other. The editor can create a new merged version and decide which parts of the content should be included. Select Save and view to preview the new merged version. You can also use the compare version function to review the changes before publishing the page.
