Reports

Reports is only available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and will be deactivated on 2022-03-01. See Migrating reports.

Reports is only available in the classic Optimizely Campaign user interface. See Start page.

Reports lets you analyze the mailings' most important statistics. Your account has one or more report templates. If you need a custom analysis, you can create a new report and save it as a template to use for subsequent mailings.

Executing reports

  1. To access the report overview, open the start menu Main screen in the classic Optimizely Campaign user interface, where the available options are grouped together. and select Analytics > Reports.
  2. In the overview in the Manage reports window, click the mailing in the Mailings list for which you want to execute a report. If you select multiple mailings, the results are comparable within the report.
  3. In the Templates area, click the template you want to use.
  4. Click Show. The Show report window opens.

You can also select mailings (by selecting the check box in the table header), Last mailing, Last 2 mailings, Last 3 mailings, or Last 5 mailings. This is useful if you want to save the report as a template and use it for other mailings. If you select the relative information just mentioned, the report displays correct data.

Migrating reports

Reports will be deactivated on 2022-03-01. To continue using your reports, migrate them to the Performance Dashboard (Beta) and Deep Analytics.

Migrating reports to the Performance Dashboard

The following example describes how to create a new report template for the basic KPI Stands for "key performance indicator" (also known as a conversion goal); the measurement of actions on web pages. The actions can be completed purchases, pages visited, time spent on site and so on. report Kernmessgrößen (absolut) in the Performance Dashboard.

  1. Open the Optimizely Campaign menu and select Analytics > Performance Dashboard (Beta).
  2. Click Edit….
  3. Click Add Widget….
  4. In the Widget type drop-down list, select Basic chart (mailing-based).
  5. Edit the chart as described under Basic chart settings (mailing-based).
    • Under Mailings, activate the Group by campaign check box.

      For each mailing, the campaign and its messages are counted.

    • Under Axis definition > Data source, select the desired KPIs.

      The Effective unique click rate (%) is not available in the Performance Dashboard. To display this KPI, use Deep Analytics. See Migrating reports to Deep Analytics.

      You can optionally add another axis, for example, to display KPIs separately in percentages.

Migrating reports to Deep Analytics

The following examples describe how to create new report templates in Deep Analytics.

  • Opens per mailing over time
    1. Open the Optimizely Campaign menu and select Analytics > Deep Analytics.
    2. Click Create….
    3. Create a new report template as described under Creating report templates.
      • In the Report Data tab, under Recipients and Mailings, select the mailings you want to include in the report.
      • In the Report Data tab, add the Opens (Absolute) measure.
      • In the Report Data tab, add the Date grouping.
      • In the Report Data tab, add the Mailing Name grouping.
    4. Execute the report as described under Executing reports.
  • Effective unique click rate per mailing
    1. Open the Optimizely Campaign menu and select Analytics > Deep Analytics.
    2. Click Create….
    3. Create a new report template as described under Creating report templates.
      • In the Report Data tab, under Recipients and Mailings, select the mailings you want to include in the report.
      • In the Report Data tab, add the Effective Unique Click Rate (%) measure.
      • In the Report Data tab, add the Mailing Name grouping.
    4. Execute the report as described under Executing reports.
  • Clicks per link and mailing
    1. Open the Optimizely Campaign menu and select Analytics > Deep Analytics.
    2. Click Create….
    3. Create a new report template as described under Creating report templates.
      • In the Report Data tab, under Recipients and Mailings, select the mailings you want to include in the report.
      • In the Report Data tab, add the Clicks (Absolute) measure.
      • In the Report Data tab, add the Mailing Name grouping.
      • In the Report Data tab, add the Link (link URL) grouping.
    4. Execute the report as described under Executing reports.
